Welcome

I live and work in the northwest corner of England where the wind blows off the sea, following the ancient boundary walls crafted and sculpted by generations of my family, to reach the valleys and mountains beyond.

This unique and diverse landscape and the people who work in it are a constant source of inspiration for my work.

Sketching the very essence of the land, breathing in the land worked, the land lived, and the land observed invited improvisational mark making – evoking a spontaneous, expressive, unpredictable response with strength and immediacy.
